The examinations were ending, but something much larger was beginning: the transition from the highly structured environment of secondary school into a wider world in which choices become more consequential, pathways become less uniform, and young people increasingly have to participate actively in shaping what comes next. When the last candidates submit their answer booklets and walk out of their examination centres, something bigger than one examination will have come to an end.
