The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and WhatNext Africa have continued their landmark NYSC WhatNext Collaboration, delivering a powerful emotional and developmental message to corps members at Orientation Camps nationwide during the ongoing 2025 Batch C Orientation Course. The sessions, designed to position corps members as mentors and community builders, emphasized their unique ability to shape the aspirations of students in their host communities. Nigeria’s transition challenge is both urgent and structural. Every year in Nigeria, more than 1.8 million young people complete secondary school and enroll for SSCE/JAMB. They stand at the threshold of adulthood - hopeful, ambitious, and eager to take the next step. Yet the reality they face is far from simple. Across all universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics - public and private - the total number of available admission spaces is only about 1.0 million. That means nearly 800,000 young Nigerians are left without admission every single year. But the pathway narrows even further.
